Park by the canal bridge at Brockhall, walk along the country lane until it becomes a bridleway which you will follow until you see the footpath sign on the left (there is stream and a bridge brickworks)
cross the field to the hedgeline ahead, there is a wooden step bridge across the stream into the next field. cross the field to the hedgeline ahead you should see a road which you will cross into the field opposite. bear left and down the side of the large tree where there will be a gate into the next field on he left hand side
head across the field at about a 2oclock direction through a gate, into another field follow the hedgeline round to the next gate where you will enter another field the gate is ahead in the copse you will see in the distance.
through the copse and the gate into Whilton village is to the right of the house.
in Whilton follow the road out of the village and immediatel next to the last house on the left is a footpath sign, follow the waymarks where you will find a trig point in the next field
head down the field cross the stile and then cross the road into another field where the stile is by teh derelict building to the left
once you cross this last field you reach a lane to muscott which you will follow for a mile or so, thorough the farm yard, cross over the M1 and onto teh canal where you will turn left and head back to the start
