From Brill Common downhill to Boarstall, then back up again!
Distance 8.1 km
Brill Common is a surprisingly rough and wild landscape for the area, with a well preserved windmill perched on the hillside with excellent views of the surrounding area. This route heads downhill to Boarstall, which has a National Trust tower (only open on occasional Wednesdays), then back up again on an old green lane bridleway. There are several sections of roadway, but all except one are quiet, and the busier road is only followed for 100 metres. An enjoyable route overall, and the common is well worth a seperate exploration (and makes a good picnic spot).
