Although the magnificent baroque palace of Holyrood is the key attraction, there is of course plenty more to see, and numerous closes to wander into and explore if you have extra time. Once again readers with a keen interest in the history of the city and of the old town in particular will be well advised to equip themselves with more detailed guides to the area, whilst relying upon this one to take you to the best of the watering holes.
