This is a scenic circular walk/hike exploring the Wessex Ridgeway, Marlborough downs & Fyfield Downs area in Wiltshire, passing Barbury Castle & Hackpen White Horse along the way.

This scenic circular walk/hike starting at the Barbury Castle car park, it follows the Wessex Ridgeway across the Marlborough Downs, passing through Barbury Castle and past Hackpen White Horse, it then heads across Fyfield down to the village of Rockley, the final stretch follows a good track back to Barbury Castle and the finish point.

REally enjoyed this, thank you! Particularly loved the walk through the rocky sarsen-stone fields. Wasn't expecting that at all. Top tip though, to avoid a walk on a quite busy road, as you leave Rockley we could have ascended a short climb and followed a path that leads directly to Barbury Carpark. That would have made the 5*
