3 in One! Stuart Fawkes, Box Woods & Neu-Lindsey

This walk covers 3 of our Nature Reserves - it starts in Stuart Fawkes, then passes briefly through the National Trust woodland at Iron Mills Common, and onto the wonderfully family friendly Box Woods, and after a 20-minute walk across the wide expanse of Minchinhampton Common, reaches the small but very lovely Neu-Lindsey reserve. The walk then comes back approximately the same way on the return leg. It takes in the gorgeous villages of Box and Amberley on the way. Parking at the start is best done along the side of the road, but generally space can be easily found. Stuart Fawkes nature reserve is spread across 3 fields, with rare plants, and grazed by cattle. The woodland in Box Woods is a paradise for kids, with plenty of small streams, small dams, stone steps and kiddy fun. The track follows alongside a steeply falling stream with numerous cascades and small waterfalls. Neu-Lindsey reserve is entered through a sculpted wooden gate, and contains a meadow abundant with wildflowers and butterflies.
