West Wittering to Chidham via West Itchenor, Westlands, Apuldram, Fishbourne, Bosham Hoe, Bosham.
Starting on the lovely soft sands of West Wittering follow the headland round and up a waterside path along the New Lipchis Way through woodlands, fields and lanes to round the estuary at Fishbourne. Back down following a riverside path to a tidal road and footpath at Bosham. Sea bank and path to end.
New Lipchis Way
The beautiful soft sands of West Wittering quickly give way to a waterside walk up the Chichester Channel following the Lipchis Way. Enormous houses (mansions) are on show around West Itchenor and Westlands with a huge marina to match the old money near Chichester. The waterside walk continues around Fishbourne and back down around the lanes slightly inland of Bosham Hoe and to Bosham where the road around and the path crossing the bay are often swamped at high tide. More sea bank and a decent path and round the next bay to end at Chidham. All in all a very pleasant and easy going walk with plenty to see.
