Fairlight Cove to Eastbourne via Covehurst Bay, Hastings, Bexhill, Cooden, Pevensey Bay.
The lanes of Fairlight Cove to start but quickly onto muddy and very slippery paths with 4 steep ascents and descents over woodland draped hills and cliffs to Hastings. Steps down into Hastings with Bexhill soon after. Shingle beach and roadside to Pevensey and road to Eastbourne.
Saxon Shore Way (to Hastings)
The leafy lanes of Fairlight Cove soon become a short series of seriously slippery steep climbs through woodland covered cliffs above Covehurst Bay and over to Hastings. The path was closed due to a landslip at one point but I climbed around it with care. Steep steps down into Hastings with a nice town walk. Bexhill soon follows with it's grand pavilion and clean promenade. It is then shingle beach and road to Pevensey Bay followed by more roadside walking to Eastbourne and around the massive development of Sovereign Harbour.
