King's Lynn to Old Hunstanton via South Wootton, North Wootton, Wolferton, Snettisham, Heacham, Hunstanton, Old Hunstanton.
Roadside from King's Lynn to join footpaths and lanes through the villages of South and North Wootton. More lanes, woodland paths and lanes through the outskirts of the Sandringham Estate to Wolferton. Track (probable trespass) through to RSPB Snettisham and then sea wall, sandy shingle beach, promenade and shingle beach to end.
Norfolk Coast Path (from Hunstanton)
A brief roadside walk out of King's Lynn quickly ducks away left down lanes and footpaths through the two well kempt villages of South and North Wootton. With further lanes leading to a woodland path and a crossing of the main road the route follows another woodland walk through the edge of the Sandringham Estate. Crossing back over the main road more lanes run by the former Royal Railway Station at Wolferton before disappearing down a track towards RSPB Snettisham. This track is marked as private and is part of the Sandringham Estate. I suspect I was trespassing but with an open well trodden track through uninhabited farmland there was no malicious intent. It was the only viable route I could find through to Snettisham that didn't involve dangerous walking alongside a main road. I wasn't challenged but please be warned that this isn't a public right of way. At RSPB Snettisham a path wanders around the reserve and a quick nip inland via a sea wall emerges for a sandy shingle beach walk into Hunstanton with promenade and shingle beach under low but unstable cliffs to end the day.
