Bridlington to Aldbrough via Auburn Sands, Ulrome, Skipseas Sands, Hornsea, Mappleton
Sandy beach to start - it could be possible to navigate all the way by beach if the tide is perfect. This option gives a high tide route inland along lanes, through farmland and caravan parks. Back down a muddy cliff for shingle / sand beach. If MoD range is open follow the beach all the way to Aldbrough. The climb up the muddy cliff at the end isn't easy.
No Marked Trail
This part of the coast is subject to serious erosion, so there is no guarantee that this route will be valid in a few years time. However, with neap tides it may be possible to stay on the beach all day even if it is a shingle / sand mix. My mid-morning high tide took me inland to skirt a caravan park, cross farmland and walk a few lanes, only returning to the cliffs and the beach when I could. Once back on the rarely walked beach it becomes rich with pebbles and a few fossils. An MoD range could block continued beach access but was open when I walked through and allowed me to walk all the way to Aldbrough. Be extremely careful if trying to climb up or down the low cliffs at any point, they are unstable and very muddy.
My Rank **
