North Kessock to Nairn via Inverness, Milton, Ardersier, Fort George, Port of Ardersier, Delnies. 2*

North Kessock to Nairn via Inverness, Milton, Ardersier, Fort George, Port of Ardersier, Delnies.
Cross the Kessock Bridge and enter the old landfill site (a road route could be preferable as this might not be a permissible path). Lanes and A96 for the rest of the day.
No Marked Trail
After crossing the Kessock Bridge (look out for dolphins) turn left just after the football ground and veer right into the council depot and old landfill site. I did this on a Sunday when nobody was around but I wasn't sure whether this was a treuly permissible route across scrubland with pipes poking out of the ground collecting gas from the rubbish underneath. Lanes to Milton followed by 3 miles of A96 verge. Lanes to Ardersier and Fort George before skirting the ranges and an eerie walk through the former port and rig construction yards. Bone straight empty lane back to the A96 and follow this into Nairn.
