Kylesku to Claisfern near Scourie via Duartbeg, Lower Badcall, Upper Badcall, Scourie, Tarbet, Fanagmore, Foindle.
Open main road, old overgrown coast road, OS marked path (severely overgrown). Lane and then boggy, rock strewn path and more lanes to the end.
No Marked Trails
Cross the bridge on the main road out of Kylesku and the road is wide, open and nigh on empty but very fast. The route follows a couple of minor headland jaunts the first following the old, now overgrown, coast road. The second was a bit of an adventure as the OS map marked it as a through route. In practice it wasn't really. It was heavily overgrown with a tall deer fence half way along it. I still managed the climb as well as plenty of deep thigh and waist wrapping bracken. Once through, the road into Scourie is easy. From Scourie it's across country via a boggy and rocky steep path to Tarbet. The terrain is very bleak and barren. From Tarbet the lanes weave round back to Claisfern.
