Ullapool to Acheninver via North Keanchulish, Postie's Path, Achduart, Achnacarinan.
Road start, estuary track, rugged and spectacular Postie's Path with lane to finish.
Postie's Path (not an OS recognised trail)
A road for the first few miles out of Ullapool then tracks around the estuary Keanchulish and up onto the Postie's Path. Cracking views out to The Summer Isles and a rugged, sometimes precipitous walk along the cliff edge. Occasional scrambles required and a landslip at one place required careful steps. A bridge had also been washed away when I walked this path, but there are alternatives and I didn't really need to divert much at all. A top 20 walk and a highlight for stunning views across Horse Sound to Horse Island and Tanera More. Lanes finish this top day.
