Steep lane leads to 8 miles of rough path across bog and heather to Craig Bothy and onto a sandy beach at Redpoint. 12 miles of lane and road into Gairloch.
No Marked Trail (Lower Diabaig to Redpoint should be)
A day of two halves. The short steep lane up through Lower Diabaig quickly becomes an easy to follow path across bog, heather and very thin soil over glacial moraine. Tough but not extreme. After Craig Bothy cross the stream (very full in flood), look out for the Sea Eagle. Easier coast hugging path to Redpoint and glorious beach. Lanes and roads thereafter finishing in Gairloch - a popular small town for visitors and tourists.
