Glenmore to Kilchoan via Camas nan Geall, Bourblaige and Ben Hiant
Single track road to the viewpoint overlooking Camas nan Geall. Then track, foreshore and low cliff top. Turning inland for steep climb through grassland along the East side of Ben Hiant. On finding the path cut left around the North of the mountain towards Kilchoan. Lanes to end.
No Marked Trail
The route follows the road again, out of the oakwoods to a gorgeous viewpoint and track down to Camas nan Geall. A brief walk along the foreshore and then up and along a low cliff before turning inland up the East flank of Ben Hiant through the deserted village of Bourblaige. Back to the road and a path near the milestone cutting West over the pass. Note: I didn't follow this route but took the road all the way into Kilchoan because there was a view I wanted to revisit and I know this area very well. I have walked this route many times and the cross country one is far more fun. This route is two miles shorter than the road route around Loch Mudle. A terrific view can be had from the top of Ben Hiant if fancied. It really is one of the very best views in the West Highlands if you have the time and a clear day. It is not huge mileage so I didn't score it higher than medium.
My Rank *** but **** if Ben Hiant climbed too
