Lane into Oban, town, cycleway, A85 with wide verge, Connel Bridge, silty beach with ford towards Eriska NOT passable. Bog and back to the road.
No Marked Trail
3 miles back into Oban and the bustling ferry port. Roadside to Dunollie Castle and Ganavan Bay to pick up a new cycleway (not on OS map) over to the A85 at Dunbeg. With wide grass verges it is much safer to walk along. Over the Connel Bridge and around the perimeter of Oban Airport for the silty beach at Benderloch. I attempted unsuccesfully to cross a marked ford towards Eriska. Bogs and road instead. Not a long day, hence easy.
