Lanes out of Tayvallich but soon into Knapdale Forest tracks. Narrow path and steep drop to Crinan (path easily missed from the track). Lanes and tracks inland to Carnassarie Castle. A816 verge hopping to end just short of Ardfern.

Forest track opens out at Ardnoe Point to reveal stunning views across Loch Crinan. I could literally hear the roar of the Corryvreckan whirlpool some 7 miles away. An easily missed steep narrow path drops down to pictureque Crinan and a brief walk alongside the canal. Tracks and lanes to the castle at Carnassarie ending up on another A road to end the day.
