Peninver to Dunaverty Bay via Campbeltown, Kilkerran, Corphin Bridge, Polliwilline, Macharioch, Southend.
Nearly all tarmac along a coast road which hugs the high tide line South of Campbeltown. Briefly running up hill and inland through forestry. Drop into Southend with a short sandy beach to end.
Kintyre Way
(this trail is not always coastal, therefore my route often departs from it)
The busy road into Campbeltown is easier today and once out of the town the road is much safer and quieter. Climb up and inland for a while but return to the coast at Corphin Bridge for an ideal lunch spot on a scruffy small shingle beach. Back to the lanes for Southend with a golf course walk and small delightful sandy bay to end the day.
