Beach to twon and harbour of Troon then 8 miles of wet sandy beach followed by tarmac cycleway and roadside. Silty narrow beach skirting West Kilbride to end.
Ayrshire Coastal Path
Plenty of beach walking though sand North of Troon very wet but improving towards Irvine. Inland around harbour and town to follow cycleway through heathland and scrub to Stevenston and Saltcoats. Seemlessy on through Ardossan to pick up narrow silty beach around West Kilbride. A pleasant walk without ever being spectacular.
