Beach to start then woodland and Culzean Castle. Sandy bay and low cliff top path lead to technical and slippery rocky foreshore (might be better to stay inland at high tide). Narrow sandy beach, town harbour and promenade to end.
Ayrshire Coastal Path
Across Maidenhead Bay to start then woodland around the front door and lawns of Culzean Castle. Sand and low cliffs of Culzeans Bay and rocky foreshore walk - slow progress. Bay opens out at Ayr with narrow sandy beach. Quick dip into town and around the old harbour for a promenade walk into Prestwick.
