Roadside start passing the ferry terminals. Proper coast path begins in Ayrshire lifting up over the hill from Port Sally. Beware electrified fences.
Ayrshire Coastal Path
A few miles roadside in Dumfries & Galloway before a coast path greets you in Ayrshire. The path lifts up over the hills with stunning views back towards Stranraer and forward to Ballantrae. Slow descent through farmland and back to short lane section into Ballantrae.
