Coast hugging lanes and tracks around Ardwall Isle and Carrick Shore, woodland, then 8 miles of A75 - use old road and back lanes where possible.
No Marked Trail
A lovely easy start with a gentle and pretty coastline to Airds Bay at Sandgreen. A brief woodland walk inland takes you up to the A75 for 8 miles. Wide verges make this safer for walking with fast moving traffic heading for the ferry. I used side lanes and old road sections where I could find them.
