Soft track to Glasson Dock, cycleway to Lancaster, skirt town via railway bridge to Lancs Coastal Way to Morecambe (cutting off Heysham). Follow LCW all way to Silverdale.
Lancashire Coastal Way
Lovely start to Glasson Dock spoilt by cycleway again, though not many speeders when I walked along it. Skirting Lancaster the LCW then heads in a straight line to Morecambe bypassing Heysham and its nuclear power station completely. Eric Morecambe's statue is a must for anyone over a certain age. The path then begins to feel like Cumbria as stone walls and cottages appear. Silverdale and the end of the LCW is a fine finish to the day following a brief cross country ramble over low hills (fells?).
