St Anne's to Bank Houses nr Cockerham via Blackpool, Cleveleys, Fleetwood, Knott End, Ladies Hill, Cockerham.
Brief beach walk and then up onto Blackpool promenade all the way to Fleetwood. Ferry to Knott End - does not run if tide very low. Tarmac, roadside verge hopping up the A588 (not following the safer but longer inland LCW) and cross country to estuary walk to end.
Lancashire Coastal Way
You can walk on the beach through Blackpool though channels and tide unlikley to make this a pleasant alternative. If you can't get the all year round ferry at Fleetwood it is a huge diversion inland. I was lucky and the RNLI helped me out here as I timed it very wrong. The A588 is not pleasant walking, an inland route via the LCW might be safer.
