Flat marshy start followed by dunes and scrub to a golf course, 2+ miles of sandy beach, serious climbs from Morte Point, good variety.
SW Coast Path
Military training area around the marshes, scrub and dunes early end with a walk across a golf course. The scenery really improves after Croyde and Baggy Point with a lovely long beach walk at Woolacombe. The day ends with a steep drop into Ilfracombe via lanes. Generally an easy surface throughout the day with only a few small sections around Morte Point toughening things up.
