Many unexpected small climbs add up to around 5,000 ft of ascent on this tough walk. Plenty of towns, holiday parks and industrial workings to walk around and through and these do break things up a bit.
SW Coast Path: Ferry across River Fowey runs all year round.
I found this section a bit of a let down in the middle of the SWCP. I didn't feel rewarded by all of the ascent over the day. The highlights were all in the morning and everything after Fowey was disappointing. Spirits lifted again at Charlestown which is a lovely place to end the day.
