Solent Way
From the ferry at Hythe follow the Solent Way all day. Unfortunately much of the route goes inland to cross the Beaulieu River. There is a great deal of private land towards the coast thus a more coastal through route isn't forthcoming. It can get a bit muddy in some sections. A lovely woodland walk runs from Beaulieu to Bucklers Hard but from then on its very much lane walking until the route reaches a few leafy cross country sections near Lymington. It's easy flat walking through very pleasant places with Bucklers Hard proving to be a highlight and a perfect lunch stop.
