A hiking trail from Obertürkheim to Kernen im Remstal through Grabkapelle auf dem Württemberg and Kernenturm.
The tour ranges from Uhlbach in Stuttgart to Kernen through winery area and the woods. From the starting point, it takes about 20 minutes to reach "Grabkapelle auf dem Württemberg". The chapel was constructed by King Wilhelm I in order to commemorate the death of his wife Katharina. It is worth visiting inside the chapel when you are hiking with children. Since it is on the top of a hill, you can enjoy the landscape of whole Stuttgart as well. If you keep walking towards winery area, you will pass a small village called Rotenberg. In the village, enter another hiking trail surrounded by winery area which is serenely beautiful. A path in the forest starts from the end of the winery area, which leads to "Kernenturm". You can reach the top of the tower, and it serves a nice view of the forest in Remstal region.
Some food and drinks are available in "Kiosk am Kernenturm" located right in front of Kernenturm.
