You can do this walk from the house but to avoid walking on the road, drive to the bridge north of town and park just there. Walk along the east of the river on the private roadway (no traffic) until you reach the dam, which is spectacluar. You can continue on the metal walway fixed into the cliff side to the right of the dam and this brings you to a pedestrian suspension bridge. Return the same way.
