My first solo climb of the Pico de Aneto on the Summer Solistice of 2014
difficult
Distance 9.9 km
This route starts of with about 40 minutes of boulder-hopping, and then it is time for Crampons and Ice Axe to traverse the glacier.
The antisummit is approached from the North-West which brings you to the Paso de Mahoma. This is no more than a level II scramble, but because of the exposure on both sides of the pass, many people choose to either no cross it or cross it using ropes.
