Part tarmac roadway part forest roadway walk. Medium difficulty. Some incline but ok for all but beginners.
moderate
Distance 9.8 km
This walk can be done either way, uphill on the tarmac road first (which is probably a bit easier, getting the hard bit out of the way on a smooth road) or taking the forestry road, climbing to the road and finishing on the tarmac.
Be aware that there is a Ford across a mountain stream along the way. It's normally no higher than half way up a waterproof walking boot, but you might want to bring plastic bags in the case that you don't have waterproof walking shoes. You should definitely bring something if it has been raining heavily in the previous 48 hours.
You'll find details of other walks in the area on www.clogheen.net/walks.
