To the sculpture trail

The starting point of the trail hike is the glassblowing workshop in Alpirsbach, where we can admire the glass works of art. From there, the Reutiner Steige is not far away. On it we slowly gain metres in altitude. A short stretch on asphalt follows. We stay on the road until a path branches off at a bend. It leads us briefly over a forest road into the dense forest. After a few forks in the road, we take another forest road and then head east to leave the forest and reach the Alpirsbach district of Reutin. A wooden heron awaits us at the entrance to the village. It is the first of 16 works of art that will accompany us from now on along the sculpture trail. Each of these wooden figures was carved with chainsaws. Now we head towards the centre of the village and onto the village road, which leads past more wooden animals to the end of the village.
