Malerweg, Stage 8: From Weißig to Pirna (official version TV Sächsische Schweiz)
Author’s recommendation
Above Pirna's old town and below the former Sonnenstein fortress, a romantic walkway runs between tall, old trees. Long ago, the local people named it Canalettoweg to commemorate the famous artist. However, it is not known whether the Venetian, who painted Pirna in twelve views for the Dresden court around 1752, ever walked along it.
