The Meschede Hiking Trail is about 80 km long and runs around Lake Hennesee in the northern Sauerland. On this tour you hike part of this trail from Wehrstapel, east of Meschede, to Nichtinghausen at the southern end of the lake. You cross the hills of Hardt (585 m) and Vogelsang (595 m) and then run through green meadows and beautiful deciduous forests. In between, wonderful views of the Hennesee and the surrounding landscape open up again and again. The bus takes us back to the starting point.
