Car park at the Sportplatz Pluwig

From the car park (the signposts start at the very end), you first head downhill towards the open-air stage of the Karl-May-Freunde Pluwig e.V. Especially on the weekends in May and June, you may be lucky enough to witness part of a rehearsal there. We therefore ask you to be careful when approaching the site - horse riding during rehearsals is possible. After approx. 700 m, the path continues above the director's house to the right and runs parallel to the Romikaweg dream loop for a short distance.

After about 1.3 km, we leave the common route with the dream loop and the path leads to the right - up into the village of Pluwig.

At the top, the path turns left - a little way through a residential area - parallel to the other two hiking trails in the municipality. TIP: If you want to extend the trail a little, change here to the Walburga hiking trail and combine the two trails in this way.

Shortly before reaching the short detour to the statue of St. Walburga (ATTENTION: We ask you to be careful here. The rocky outcrop is NOT secured by a railing!!), the path leads up to the right across a beautiful light-flooded woodland to a resting bench with a wonderful view of the district of Geizenburg.

The path continues to climb along the pasture fences until it reaches a wayside cross. The path climbs for a last stretch - from here we walk along tarred farm roads to the transmission mast. Once there, the path turns back downhill to the right - past pasture fences, the farm track ends again in the inhabited Pluwig - In der Weidenwies. Turning left across the church square, the hiker comfortably reaches the car park at the sports grounds.
