Barbecue Time!
Right behind the car park Ullachtal/ Passauer Hütte, hikers find a barbecue park. There are several places where you can have a barbecue. Benches made out of stone and grills offer the perfect conditions for outdoor barbecues. The barbecue park can be used for free. Visitors are asked to leave the park CLEAN and GARBAGE-FREE.

Starting point is the car park Ullachtal / Passauer Hütte in Leogang. From here you cross a dry riverbed, then you follow the trail towards the Passauer Hütte mountain hut. Continue northwest on the marked trail to Birnbachloch. If you want to expand the hike, park your car at the soccer stadium "Steinbergstadion" in Leogang/Rosental. You will find it on the lefthand side after the Ritter bakery (Leogang 82, 5771 Leogang). From here you hike through the romantic Wetzsteinwald forest before reaching the Ullachtal / Passauer Hütte car park.
Tip: On your way back, you may choose to walk across the new suspension bridge to Vorderer Sonnberg and Birnberg, where you can follow the marked path back to the car park.

BY TRAIN

BY BUS
The starting point at the soccer stadium "Steinbergstadion" or the car park Ullachtal / Passauer Hütte can be reached with the bus 690 (route: Saalfelden - Leogang - Hochfilzen - Fieberbrunn - St. Johann i.T.) from Saalfelden or Leogang. From the bus stop "Leogang Ortsmitte" the starting point of this hiking tour can be reached by foot.
Getting there
BY CAR
Drive from Saalfelden on the main road towards Leogang. After entering the village, you will see the Ritter bakery (Leogang 82, 5771 Leogang) on the lefthand side of the road. Take a turn right after the bakery. You are now in Leogang/Rosental. You will find the car park of the soccer stadium "Steinbergstadion" on the lefthand side about 100 m behind the bakery.
To start the hike at the car park Ullachtal / Passauer Hütte follow the Rosental road past the Steinbergstadion and keep left until you reach the turnoff to "Priesteregg". Take a turn right here and follow the road for about 1.3 km. car park lot is located on the left side of the road.
