A good ridge walk with lots of ups and downs but without being too long. Large parts on made paths and affording great views (in the right weather). The last ridge up to the base of Corn Du seems to take forever!
Distance 17.7 km
A cracking circular route taking in all the highest peaks in the Beacons. Corn Du, Pen Y Fan, Cribbin & Fan Y Big in that order. Lots of the walk is on the top of steep ridges so views can be excellent in several directions. It is quite hard in that there is a fair bit of climbing but most of the paths are made up so the surface is quite good. It is very busy up to the top of Pen Y Fan but very quiet after that.
