Rhön Rundweg 7 Hammelburg - Rhön
At the natural monument "Dicke Linde" and opposite the Aussiedlerhöfe you either change to Seeshofer Straße or follow a small path to an idyllic fishing lake. There you switch to the street and walk past vineyards to the hamlet of Seeshof. After the village, you climb to the Seeshof-Feuerthal crossroads. Turn right there and continue on the Main-Werra-Weg / Abtsweg to the Ofentaler Berg. From here you can also make a detour to the magical place of Franconian wine, the terroir f vantage point.
Through the forest and vineyards you finally reach the European pavilion with a beautiful view of Hammelburg and the Saale valley. Via Karl-Kaiser-Straße and Ofentaler Weg, it goes through the city center back to the starting point.

Safety information
The paths are also used by cyclists. In winter there can be snow, the paths are not cleared. The tourist paths of the Rhön are mostly used by other active people (hikers, mountain bikers, cyclists, walkers, riders, cross-country skiers, etc.).
We ask all active nature athletes to show consideration for one another . The same applies, of course, to nature - it is worth protecting. In the Rhön, therefore, nature sports should only be practiced in daylight on designated paths and areas.
