Minett Trail: Rumelange Gare - Esch-sur-Alzette (Alternative)
On this alternative trail section you hike through the nature reserve "Ellergronn" close to Esch-sur-Alzette and past the National Mining Museum in Rumelange, always close to the rich industrial past of the country.
This route is only part of the official route to Kayl-Tétange and thus also leads through the nature reserve "Léiffrächen" - named after the patron saint of miners and a nearby place of pilgrimage, where there are said to have been miraculous apparitions: Children who fell into a trance are said to have seen the Mother of God here.

Turn-by-turn directions
This stage of the “Minett Trail” trail starts either at the Rumelange train station or at the Esch-sur-Alzette train station. Follow the official signposting: The signs show three red arrows on a white background. They are signposted "on sight" and may be affixed to streetlights or other posts.
While in our nature reserves, you can find them as glued or screwed to trees and posts; in some places the waymark is also marked on trees. At important junctions you will also find signposts with arrows indicating the direction and information about the distance to specific points, as well as pictograms of points of interest.
