The route crosses the Gaalgebierg leisure centre and leads from the mining area Eisekaul to the forestry school. We partly follow the national footpath "Sentier du Sud" past the pond Ellergronn to the former J. Cockerill mines. On the way back, we pass again the Gaalgebierg.

You can find three cool spots on this trip: The Mine Cockerill as well as the Nature conservation centre Ellergronn, and the animal parc at the Gaalgebierg.

Getting there

Take the A4 towards Esch-sur-Alzette, take the Esch-sur-Alzette exit and continue towards Kayl / Rodange. Then follow the signs "Gaalgebierg"
