This short hike will make you appreciate a small part of the route of the Yellow Train, symbol of the Catalan Country and also known as "The Canary".

he yellow train line linking the Villefranche-de-Conflent and La Tour-de-Carol stations is 60 km long.It is composed of 386 curves, 15 tunnels and 3 galleries against rock falls (Olette and Via) or snow (Col Rigat).The total length covered is 2653 m. 4 bridges of a single arch and 14 viaducts with multiple arches (including the bridge Séjourné). 18 metal bridges and 1 suspension bridge, the Gisclard bridge at La Cassagne. 65 crossings (originally), 15 of which were guarded.The majority of the structures and the structure of the buildings are made of granite of Dorres and Targasonne, carefully carved by hand, except for the lower section (Villefranche-Olette) and 2 bridges of Bourg-Madame where this rock is well used for the pillars and vaults viaducts, while the filling is pink marble said "from Villefranche".

This hike is accessible to all walkers. It offers fantastic landscapes in which the Yellow Train strolls. It is advisable to do this activity in good weather to appreciate the majesty of the place.
