Pirmasens Teufelspfad (Devil's Path) came in 4th place in the vote for Germany's Most Beautiful Hiking Trail 2020. There's a lot of buzz about it as the short route only opened in October 2019. Come by and try it out for yourself.
Named after one of its highlights, Devil's Rock (Teufelsfelsen), Devil's Path is a trail that boasts a variety of sights and is just as suitable for passionate hikers as it is for families. You can experience the wildly romantic valley with streams and ponds, as well as bizarre rock formations and numerous springs and waterfalls.
Experience the impressive flora and fauna of the Gersbachtal FFH area (Flora-Fauna-Habitat Conservation Area), which can be seen in the natural habitats of water, red sandstone rocks and forest.
Both in spring, when the flowers and fields along the route are in full bloom, and in winter, when large icicles form on the legendary rocks, Devil's Path has a unique charm.
