From the big parking take the path starts where the map is and then across the small bridge over the river.
The path goes through a marmottes and lizards valley. This is the first 4.5km of the path and the climb is very easy, almost no climb.
Then the path starts to climb more but nothing technical.
The lake is beautiful and the refuge is new, offers food and drinks as well as sleeping arrangements.
The thing to note is that from Orlu there is no phone signal (not on the parking and not on the path). At the refuge there is a phone for emergency only.
