Tromsdalstinden is 1238 m tall mountain that is located at the southern end of the Tromsdalen valley near the city of Tromsø.
Hike to the top of Tromsdalstinden is a fairly popular not only because of scenic views but also because of its closeness to the city of Tromsø. Tromsdalstinden is Tromsø's home mountain and can be really easily spotted from the Tromsø city center. Locals frequently just call it “Tinden”.
Tromsdalstinden attracts hikers year-round. However, the summit of the mountain is typically without snow only for a few months in the summer regardless from snowfalls. Tromsdalstinden is usually accessed from Tromsdalen valley which offers many hiking routes and is really picturesque area.
Typically, the view from the peak is impeded by fog, rain or snow. However, during clear days scenery there is truly fabulous! Views of Lyngen alps, Kvaløya alps, Senja and many more are absolutely outstanding.

Getting thereTromsdalstinden can be accessed by bus or car. Just follow the road from Tromsdalen directly toward the summit until the road is banded. From there the gravel road continues up the valley to the main hiking trail.
