Mjelle Beach is a spectacular beach in the north of Norway. It is definitely one of the most popular places to explore while visiting Bodø. The sand of Mjelle beach is both white and red color. The red sand gets its color from gemstone particles (garnet minerals). This amazing sight is truly worth to see!

The easiest way to go to Mjelle is by car. From Bodø town it takes about 30 minutes. Just drive north by Norwegian County Road RV834 towards Festvåg. After the sign “Mulstrand” turn left. Follow the road until you reach big parking area.
Also, you can try bike ride for 23 km along the coast.
