A beautiful hiking trail in the heart of Tiilikkajärvi National Park . Here you can admire the ridges, marsh sceneries with cottongrass and shores of wilderness lakes.
Uiton kierto circle hiking trail runs along the shores of wilderness lakes. The Uiton kierto hiking trail is easy to walk and partly covered with duckboards. Here you can enjoy the beautiful nature and admire the varying sceneries.
A bit off the trail (about 400 m) you can find the beautiful sandy shore Venäjänhiekka with a campfire site. Back on the trail, you will reach the yard of the rental hut Uiton Kämppä where there is another campfire site, a composting toilet, and a dock that you can use for swimming. Uiton Kämppä is also the starting and returning point of an additional circle trail Autionkierto (3,4 km). This trail runs mostly in marsh sceneries, is easy to walk and is mostly covered with duckboards. Along the hiking trail, you will find the rustic Tiilikanautio Croft with an idyllic yard area.
The rest of the Uiton kierto hiking trail until the starting point runs on moor terrain and on duckboards that take you across amazing marsh areas.
Author’s recommendation
The trail is also a suitable for families. There are campfire sites on Venäjänhiekka shore and the yard of the rental hut Uiton kämppä.

On a damp or cold weather, the duckboards and bridges may be slippery. Tree roots, stones and leaves can make the path slippery as well.
On a warm weather, adders have been seen in the yard of Tiilikanautio Croft.
There are no services along the route so please bring your own snacks and drinks. You should always take least a water bottle with you.
In case of emergency, call 112 ( The emergency number in Finland). When the forest fire warning is in effect, fires are not allowed – even at the campfire sites. Although the trail is marked in the terrain, it is good to take a map of the area with you.
