This premium hiking trail is ideal for all Moselle hikers looking to experience the most diverse landscapes over the course of one day.
Elves by the wayside, hot springs, a bishop's mitre, the mysterious Wildstein and the Graach entrenchments give this Seitensprung trail its mystical character. The paths that lead from the town of Traben-Trarbach to these striking natural and cultural monuments between the Moselle and Kautenbach are usually rather narrow. There are stunning views wherever you look. Whether you're looking down from Maria Zill or the Taubenhaus, you will enjoy magnificent views over the rooftops of Kues, Trarbach and Wildstein. The views are your reward for the often strenuous climbs and challenging altitude difference.
The Graach entrenchments are another highlight for hikers. It is a fortification built in 1794 by the Prussian army above Graach to fight off the French revolutionary armies.
And if your feet are tired at the end of a long day, you can relax in the Moseltherme, the only thermal bath on the Moselle
