easy
Distance 8.4 km
This route is much easier than you might expect for one that offers such breathtaking views. First Llangorse Lake, then beyond to Cribyn and Pen y Fan and beyond that as far as the northern escarpment of the Carmarthen Fans. And that's just to the west! Try not to be put off by the sight of the initial ascent as what you can see is the limit of steep climbing for the whole route. It continues more gently to the summit then down the other side to return on Mynydd Llangorse's western flank. Difficulty : 2 Time : 2h33m Distance : 5.3 miles/8.5 km Ascent/Descent: Up 200m, Down 200m Route : Circular Refreshments : 0
