The Guzzi Route - From the Bietti refuge to the Brioschi refuge, on top of the Grigna. Classification EE+, so only for very expert hikers!!
Description also available in Italian and German
This route can be combined with the Ganda Route and also with the Cainallo-Bietti route to create an interesting ring trail.
Exactly behind the hut Bietti - Buzzi, a steep climb starts on the lawn. For the first few meters everything goes smoothly.
As the slope increases, you'll be required to use our hands, still following the yellow signs on the rock. On the last section, before the chains, you'll be facing the rocks. In our view, coming back now will be more dangerous than go on, so plan carefully your hike.
The dangerous section will last just a few meters. After this, you'll find some chains that help to reach the top of this ascent. Go right at the top, you are now on the"Piancaformia" ridge. There is only one point where you need to climb a rock but as soon as you leave the ridge there will be no more difficulties.
The trail intersects with the Ganda route (trail 25), the most simple way to reach the top, which rises from the Bogani refuge. From now on the path is simple, a walk on the gravel with the support of the chains in the hardest point (but I have seen people without using them).
At the top, Refuge Brioschi will welcom eyou with its woderful panorama on the lake.
