Ruta Litoral - along the coast of Timanfaya National Park

The hiking trail along the coast is the only trail that individual tourists can hike alone in Timanfaya National Park. The contrast between the blue sea and the black, volcanic wasteland here is impressive! The trail runs between Playa de la Madera in the north and El Golfo in the south. You can either walk the entire route and then have to be brought back to the starting point (no public transport!) or you can walk into the national park and turn back if you don't have any more time or desire, as I did.
