This varied hike starts in Lutzerath at the tourist information office. On the Lutzerather Höhe, enjoy the wide view over the Volcanic Eifel.Take a moment and let your eyes wander from the Nerother Kopf, over the Hohe List and the Daun observatory to the Hochkelberg. This is followed by the descent into the wildly romantic Ueßbach valley, which quietly murmurs and shapes the landscape of the Volcanic Eifel. The trail follows the course of the Ueßbach stream and passes two historic mills that bear witness to times gone by. The Neumühle and Immerather Mühle are both former water mills. The Neumühle is a small café that is open from Fridays to Sundays and invites you to take a leisurely break with coffee and cake. The Mühlen- and Maarweg then turns into the Wendelinusweg and leads you further through the Maarbachtal valley to the idyllic Immerath Maar.
